Mehmet Caglayan
Executive Producer / Creative Director

Mehmet Caglayan, president of Blue Voyage Productions, is a Director and a Cinematographer. Mehmet received his M.F.A. in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he expanded his interests to include both documentary and scripted programming development. He founded Blue Voyage Productions, LLC in 2007. His background as a video journalist took him to 13 hurricanes in several coastal states, the 1996 Atlanta Olympic games, the war in Afghanistan, and the Middle East. Broadcast news networks like NBC, Weather Channel, CBS, and MSNBC used his services. He received the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for his Afghanistan work and numerous Associated Press Awards. His cinematography has appeared on cable networks like Smithsonian Channel, MSNBC, NBC, HGTV, Style Network, MTV, and E! Network. Since 2008, Mehmet has focused his work on corporate communications and marketing. He won several TELLY,  and HERMES awards for his commercial video productions. Mehmet’s documentary ‘Shifting Baselines’ has screened at a number of film and video festivals including a celebrated screening on-air with Georgia Public Television. Mehmet serves on the Georgia Southern University Communication Arts Department Advisory Board and the Savannah Filmmakers Board.

Patrick Longstreth Director/ VFX Supervisor

Patrick Longstreth has been telling visual stories for over 12 years as a director, editor, and visual effects artist. He has a Master's degree in Visual Effects from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and a Bachelor's in Marketing from Washington University in St.Louis. His career includes time as a motion graphic artist for NBC Network News and as a staff compositor for Psyop.TV. He is currently working on a freelance basis for commercials and film.

Shawn Griffin Post-Production Supervisor

Shawn graduated from the Savannah College of Art & Design in 2015 with a BFA in Film & Television. After graduation, he completed Ocean Exchange's film internship, editing dozens of films. Since then, he has worked on numerous productions with varying scales. These include a feature-length documentary, many award-winning narrative shorts, and corporate videos for numerous companies. He has also become an integral creative component of the post-production services offered at Blue Voyage Productions.

Chris Loar Cinematographer / Editor

A Savannah College of Art and Design graduate in 1998, Chris Loar has over 25 years of experience in Video Production as an award-winning Director, Videographer and Editor. His work has been featured throughout live television broadcasts, collegiate sporting events, commercials, and marketing videos. As Creative Director, he has cultivated and managed a variety of live events and produced numerous digital media and print projects for professional athletes, entertainers, and business owners.

Evan Griffith Drone Pilot / Cinematographer

South Carolina native, Evan Griffith is a graduate of SCAD’s film and television program. After graduating, Evan worked 6 years in broadcast news as a video journalist honing his visual storytelling skills by covering major political stories, hurricanes, pandemics, and network news. At the news station where he worked, Evan was the Remote Pilot in Command; piloting every drone flight the station did for over two years. In the summer of 2021, Evan left the news to join the Blue Voyage team and work freelance video work full-time as a drone owner-operator, cinematographer, and editor.
